Tying Up Loose Ends

This break has been unpleasently full of drama. It harkens back largely to a nasty breakup that my best friend and the BF's best friend went through over the summer. My best friend and I had a sad falling out that began with the fall semester and has lingered on to very recently. Throw in the fact that the other half of the broken relationship has been living in my BF's basement due to an invasion of relatives for almost all of Christmas break and you have the mix for a number of upsets.

Fortunatly it all seems to be clearing up, between my removing myself from the unpleasentries and the BF doing his best to get everyone's side of various stories and tying up loose ends. The stress has been wearing on both of us, and we had a much needed and very refreshing conversation long into the night last night about everything we have to talk about that isn't related to gossip or drama. Combined with a semi-successful post-Christmas shopping trip today, it seems that some measure of equilibrium has been regained. I'm especially pleased with finding a pair of jeans at Bealls' website that had only been available in sizes smaller than mine when I went to JCPennies earlier.

But I'm even more pleased to have things under control again after far too bumpy a vacation.
